Derek recently attended his first DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) conference last week. It is a marketing class he does at the high school as one of his electives. He was happy to get in the class as a freshman as it's mostly made up of upperclassman. Anyway, he went to the conference and competed in the Legal Ethics of Business (?? I don't know what that means either) and got 4th place. There were 17 high schools there with about 100 kids each, so that's pretty good! He SO did not want me to take this picture, but I did anyway. Yea for the frosh!
