Hey yall!
That was indeed click bait I did indeed dress as an alien for Halloween. What. A. Week. Where to start??
Wednesday! We had the ward trunk or treat and Sister Arnold and I dressed as the "women in black" (our options were limited folks). It was super fun!
Come Saturday we had Sean's baptism! Thank you all for the prayers because he was able to enter the waters of baptism and receive the gift of the holy ghost this weekend! I cannot believe the way Sean has turned his life around in the 2 months we've been teaching him. How wonderful it is to see others follow the example of Jesus Christ!
Saturday was not without flaw though haha. The adversary works HARD on people just trying their best to be good. Sean's baptism was together with another family. Long story short only one member of the family was able to make it to the baptism and we started about an hour late. The members of the ward were so gracious to be patient with us and those wanting to change their lives. We love the council bluffs ward!!
Today for pday Sister Arnold and I had the wonderful honor of planning zone pday! Seriously though it was a ton of fun. We made a bunch of treats and put up decorations so that the Halloween pday would be extra spooky special! We had fun carving pumpkins and playing games (especially volleyball, don't ask about the hard loss though. It was a tough tourney).
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness." Isaiah 41:10 here's a scripture from my recent scripture study. For the full dramatic effect check out this song by the tabernacle choir, inspired by this verse!
How Firm a Foundation
Jesus loves you,
Sister Katie Troy
