Hey yall!
Amazing week in the NOM. Lots of miracles and opportunities to see the Lord's hand.
We got to have dinner with one of our friends this week, she's super sweet! Angelica is a teacher so we got to go out and celebrate the last day of school with her. She plans to finish the book of Mormon this summer and we gladly agreed to support her in her efforts haha. Putting in a plug for the book of Mormon real quick.... if you haven't checked it out, do it! There's no harm in it even if you're just curious of what it's about. There's an introduction page that explains its purpose and where it came from:)
We did a lot of service this week, probably close to six hours which is a lot for us. SO MANY people are moving or just trying to finish up spring cleaning.
Highlight of the week: Sister Christensen and I got to attend the temple with Dave! Usually we only get to go when it's their first time but since we didn't get to go that time and they're moving in a couple weeks, we got the go ahead from our mission president! Afterwards we got to have a lesson on Temples. We read this verse:
"And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." Mosiah 2:17
If you are interested in learning more about what Temples are for you can Google "Rome Italy temple tour". There's a great video that explains why Temples are so special to our religion!
Church was awesome this week, one of our friends randomly showed up halfway through! We hadn't heard from her in days so when she showed up it was a huge happy surprise! Turns out her phone was dead so she couldn't text us and tell us she was coming. She actually looked up directions on her laptop so she could get to the church. She brought her 2 year old too and they both loved it! Turns out her high-school best friend is also in our ward...CRAZY! So happy she made it and certainly a miracle.
Hopefully you guys had a wonderful week too. Be sure to look for miracles in your life, even if they're small. They're there!
Jesus loves you,
Sister Katie Troy
