sights of the city💫

 Hey yall!

Tuesday this week we had SIX meetings in one day so that took up a good chunk of time.

This week we had exchanges with winter quarters and I got to go there for the day! It was fun to be in north Omaha for the day and see the sights.

Saturday we had the stake picnic! Got to serve hotdogs and chat with all the members In the area which was fun! Two of our friends ended up coming last minute so we got to introduce them to some members of the congregation and hang out!

Just yesterday we had church (lit) so that was good! One of our friends whispyra was a little nervous to go to primary alone so we got to go with her. It was actually low key fun and those kids can sing LOUD- I mean with passion lol. That night we had dinner with some of my favorite members the gardeners! Sister gardener actually went to the same program for dental hygiene as my sister, Alexis! They're a fun family and good cooks let me tell yall.

Today for district pday we wandered through some stores for random stuff we don't need like a $5 ukulele... anyways we came back to the church for some basketball and volleyball which is always a good time.

One of my favorite things we taught this week is about being an instrument In the Lord's hands. Alma 17:9 says "And it came to pass that they journeyed many days in the wilderness, and they fasted much and prayed much that the Lord would grant unto them a portion of his Spirit to go with them, and abide with them, that they might be an instrument in the hands of God to bring, if it were possible, their brethren, the Lamanites, to the knowledge of the truth, to the knowledge of the baseness of the traditions of their fathers, which were not correct." They just wanted to help. That's it. We can help the Lord do his work! We can't make the sounds of a piano without the piano keys. We can help make the music happen by being an instrument in the Lord's hand. With the Lord's help we can help others hear the music of the gospel.

Back in Logan!

 Hey yall!

Nothing too crazy this week! Except when Elder Wong visited our mission that was pretty fun!

We had exchanges with Logan this week so I got to go back to my last area for the day! It's only been a week since I left so it felt like i had just gone on a vacation or something I don't know. Sister Klingler and I were out in Harlan for the day and we got to do service out there!

Also got to do a cool service project with the stake and community! We were building beds for kids, but as missionaries we can't use power tools for safety reasons so we measured and marked the 2×4's 😎 good stuff.

Anyways Saturday was zone conference and mlc (mission leadership council) pt. 2 with Elder Wong (we had another mlc on thursday). It was definitely interesting but I learned a lot and it was fun! He used spikeball as one of his object lessons so that definitely kept me awake!

Church yesterday was awesome, our friend Sean came with us and he met some good friends there as well. We had dinner with some members and they were super cool! One was from Germany and the other served their mission in Germany. Both went on missions so they were eager to help out with missionary work here in Council bluffs and that was really cool. We talked a lot about grace and what God expects of us.

Baller verse for yall:

"And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them." Ether 12:27

THE City

 Hey yall!

What a fun week. I'm super tired bur definitely fulfilled. The council bluffs area is ready to harvest! The people here are so kind and humble and almost everyone wants to hear a message about Christ.

We did lots of service around the community and saw lots of crazy CB things. It's been fun to be back in the area and I've been pleasantly surprised how many people remember me! I was only here for about 2 months last time so I didn't expect many to remember me but it's been so sweet.

My companion speaks some sign language and was able to use it this week! It was so cool to see her use that gift to teach pir friend Joseph about how Christ's church has been restored (Visit comeuntochrist.org if you wanna learn too. No strings attached.).

Today for pday Sister Arnold and I went out for lunch and went to a Mongolian grill! It was super good actually! We also played gator ball and basketball (no spikeball though, sadly). Not sure what's with all the parentheses today oh well!

Tonight we've got a bunch of lessons, a meeting, and a whole bunch of stuff to do honestly. There is never a shortage of things to do here!

Short and sweet email this week but I love yall and am so excited to be back in the iconic Council Bluffs, Iowa!!

Back To Basics

 Hey yall!

This week was a crazy one, and I mean it. Long story short ice cream, police, Baptism and more were all involved.

Friday this week was definitely action packed. We had trainer trainee all morning and afternoon! It's a meeting where new missionaries and their companion learn how to be better learners and teachers. I love it and get something new out of it each time I go. Right after that meeting we headed up north to little sioux to set up for the homecoming day (an ode to veterans returning). They did a wonderful job and the park looked awesome with different memorials as well as games and food. My companion and I set up the bouncy house!

We also met an older lady who had some awesome collectibles all over the place. I took a picture of her super cool Bible and I'll include it below. Sadly I don't have a picture of the 'air plant' she gave us. Apparently it needs very little water and lives off the air? (Is that even real? Someone Google it for me.)

Miracle Monday was wonderful per usual. We got lots done and got to talk to quite a few people including our lovely neighbor, Darlene. Truly a queen. Today we headed to council bluffs for shopping and wifi haha.

This week is transfers again! I'm headed back down to CB! I spent my first transfer in CB so it'll be fun to see those faces again and meet all the new friends there. The most exciting part is my companion will be Sister Arnold! (Arnie if you're reading this ily bestie). Sister Arnold and I already served together my 2nd transfer! Super excited to see what we do together now that we've got a little more time under our belts.

Seriously friends and family, trust in the Lord. He knows best. That was my lesson learned from this transfer haha! Thanks again for the loads of love and support I can feel it. I'm praying for you all!
