the wind tho.

 Hey yall!

This was the last week of the transfer! Nothing new here though, Sister Christensen and I will be staying together here in Papillion! I'm excited to stay because we have a baptism this week! It'll be my first start to finish baptism and I could not love the family more. Dave is so ready!

I'm definitely going to struggle to remember all that happened this week. I usually just look back at my schedule to see what all we did but mine is broken right now soooo ya.

We did lots of service, one time in particular we helped an older couple spread mulch in their yard! They were so sweet and complimentary and VERY grateful we finished the job in a hour haha. Missionaries really do just want to serve you!

We had 5 friends come to church this week which is super awesome! I think my personal record is 6 so I'll be chasing that for a while...

We put our friend Ashley on date to be baptized! She's going through a lot of tough things right now but has a strong desire to learn. At first she didn't want to set a specific date but now she says she thinks it will help her progress. Go Ashley!

Today we played a LOT of gator ball because there's an elder in our zone going home tomorrow and it's his favorite game. Nir sure if I've explained it before but gator ball is a mix between football and soccer. Its super fun!

The weather is turning nice right now, not too hot, not too cold. It's almost like yesterday was the... perfect date? April 25th? Sorry no movie references as a missionary haha. But it really is nice! Green grass, trees are blooming, sun is shining. And wind is blowing. Oooh Nebraska.

Got to make some good food this week! A couple highlights were Greek night and chicken noodle soup. Both were really fun to make. I guess I'm doing a Greek night with all my companions now? I have so far!

Sorry nothing to crazy this week! Hopefully all is well with each of you. Sending good vibes and prayers your way!

Jesus loves you!

90 degrees and snowing

 Hey yall!

Another beautiful week in the great state of Nebraska. 90⁰ with a tornado on Tuesday, snowing on Sunday. What a time to be alive.

This week we got to do lots of service. All of which included raking leaves! We probably were raking leaves for about 4 hours this week. Always a good time.

Last Monday we extended a Baptismal invitation to our friend David- and he accepted! We're so excited for David to be baptized in just a couple weeks. In about a year he will have the chance to be sealed to his wife in the temple which is SO awesome. Very excited for their family and all that is up ahead!

We have been teaching this lady recently and found out that her daughter lives with her, so we started teaching her too! They're both awesome. We actually found out that this daughter was the girlfriend of another guy we used to teach, so there's lots of connections. Hopefully it's meant to be.

Most of the excitement this week comes from Easter! Some lovely members invited us to join their family for dinner and it was tons of fun. Lots of grandkids to keep us entertained. Good thing those guys knew Moana like the back of their hand. Haven't watched a movie in 5 months but with their play by play from a 5 year old it was like I was watching it again! Haha. Kids are so funny!

In my studies of Easter the last couple of weeks a read these verses. I hope you like them as much as I did!
I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
"8 I have set the Lord always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
9 Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: my flesh also shall rest in hope.
10 For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore" Isaiah 16:8-11

Today for pday were starting off hot by getting our oil changed in the old equinox. Crazy stuff. Later we're planning on heading to Omaha because my greenie hasn't seen the sights yet! Of course we're going to trader Joe's too. I grew up around them but the mission really made me love that darn store. ITS AMAZING and I don't exactly know why.

ALSO. Last transfer we went to a restaurant called Block 16 in Omaha. It was suuuuper good. As we were leaving we started reading *some* of the many award plaques coming from the food network, new York times, etc. Alton Brown named one of their burgers the best in the US.... I had gotten the chicken. SO WE WENT BACK FOR THE BURGER. It was 🤌 *chefs kiss* if you know me at all you know I'm a foodie so this was MUY exciting!!

Potpie and puke

 Hey yall!

It's a great day to be a missionary!

We had zone conference this week which was awesome! We talked all about baptism and how to help our friends prepare to be baptized. It was super cool to remember my own baptism and how special that was to me. Now I get to help people have that same experience. If you are interested in even LEARNING about what being baptized would look like, ask the missionaries!! Go to comeuntochrist.org

We also had why I believe! I think I've mentioned it before but it's an event where people who have been recently baptized tell why they chose to follow Christ! We had our friend David and his wife come with us so we got to go in person in Omaha. The event is held at the Mormon trail center which is right next to the temple so I got to see that which is cool! I haven't been able to go since December so it was very exciting.

We had a sweet sweet older member make us dinner and gave us these MASSIVE brownies. See pic for reference but my hands are not small either.

I also made the most BEAUTIFUL pot pie from SCRATCH this week. Unfortunately I got sick the next day so I couldn't bake it, but when I felt a little better I went to stick it in the oven and it was moldy :,( saddest moment of the week by far. Definitely not throwing up for 24 hours straight. It's all good though I'm almost healed now :)

Last pday I forgot to put the pics in but we went to this little lake around here to check it out. It ended up being really cute and so fun to go with all the sisters in our zone.

I love you all and so does Jesus!

Dognappers

 Hey yall!

I guess nothing too crazy has happened this week?

We hosted an activity with the young women where we painted covers of Book of Mormons. They all turned out so cute and the girls were hilarious! Can you guess which is mine? (don't judge I am not an artist ok)

But the highlight of the week: general conference!!!

We watched the Saturday morning session with other missionaries at the church building. On our way there we caught a lost dog in the road and brought it home sooo ya don't tell our vehicle coordinator for the mission. Saturday afternoon we watched with our friend Ashley!! I think she really absorbed the information and just loved it. She's amazing!! We watched the women's session with the STLs and it was a legit party. Sunday morning we watched with a member family and they fed us some GOOD food. They even gave us leftovers so shoutout to the Michael fam we <3 u. Sunday afternoon we were at the church again and nothing too crazy happened.

Jesus loves you!
